Newsday: Mark Herrmann has an article about Brendan Witt's shootout abilities after an upbeat practice Monday with more comments on the long layoff between games with the upside and downsides that come with. Four on four play was concentrated on as well.

"I think it's your mental edge," Witt said. "We had the energy." He said that when a team plays game after game, things flow naturally, adding, "It makes it easier to make plays if you don't think a lot."

Practice was at Iceworks for those wondering after the lights went out last week and the club moved a practice to the Coliseum.
