Tomas Pock on waivers, Meyer sent to AHL

Newsday: Steve Zipay reported in his blog the Rangers placed defense man
Tomas Pock on waivers today.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Considering the Islanders held on to Meyer as long as they did before putting him on waivers and now Berard is out for two weeks to a month this may be something Garth Snow and Ted Nolan consider to get back the depth they lost. Of course, if they do this there is no spot in the lineup for Pock with Johnson as the depth defender on the roster and the Islanders may have to put him on waivers.

My guess is Coyotes gm Don Maloney claims Pock if anyone does.

Updated Wednesday 8pm:
Arizona Republic: Jim Gintonio reports Freddy Meyer went sent to San Antonio because Zbynek Michalek is ready to return for the Coyotes.

Newsday: John Jeansonne updated the Islanders blog and reported Richard Park will take the oath of U.S. citizenship Friday, Aaron Johnson is back on the fourth line right wing spot and that Bates is still working his way back from surgery.
