Media Blog: Cory Witt reports Jiggs McDonald will return to the broadcast booth for the next two games. Butch Goring is the expected replacement for Billy Jaffe on the commentary who's wife is expecting at any time.

Al Arbour will not be coaching this one.

Islanders website/AP: Has the early preview of tonight's game at Pittsburgh where the Pens go in on a four game losing streak.

"It's easy to look at the way things have gone the last few games and be critical and be negative, but we probably played our best game in the last few (against New Jersey)," said Crosby, who extended his point streak to 17 games. "We deserved to win, but it didn't happen."

NYI Fan Central Comments:
A team on a four game losing streak on home ice with a very strong offense and two franchise offensive players is not a good matchup for the Islanders because they will be desperate here. New York will as always have to play the game in Pittsburgh's end of the ice and work their defense in the corners as they put pressure and shots on their goaltender. Last game for their two goals Islanders worked hard but had a lot of shots blocked and gave little in terms of offense, tonight I expect DiPietro to be tested a lot more.

Still no word on what the story with the defense will be in terms of Bergeron, Berard or both. I expect Guerin to return based on his comments. Park is likely going to center the fourth line but will likely move around based on how well he has played.
