NY Times: George Vecesy visited the Prudential Center in Newark for yesterday's Islander game to do a feature on access to the arena for local fans.

Nice article, but no game coverage for two local teams where one player is going for five hundred wins? Not George Vecesy's fault but if the Times is attending why is the editor not allowing a game feature?

Canadian Press and countless articles: Report Anaheim goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov was claimed on waivers but the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.

The LA Times and several articles: Have the background on why Bryzgalov was put on waivers by Anaheim.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
I followed this a little concerned an Atlantic team (Pittsburgh) could take him and improve their goaltending. Have to respect Brian Burke for keeping his word but all he got was cap space for a solid goaltender who had a very strong playoff a few years ago and was on a cup winner last season. I'm glad he's staying in the Western Conference.
