Islanders Website/AP: Has the early preview of tonight's game in Pittsburgh.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
I'm going to miss this game tonight but have the dvd recorder ready so comments will be up tomorrow morning win or lose.

Given the distance in the division is going to open up even more based on this game Islanders need points here in the worst way included in this is falling under five hundred.

Pittsburgh scored five goals last night in a 5-4 win at Boston, it's their third game in four days but Dany Sabourin was off and will start. Will be interesting if the Islanders or Ruutu have a proper hockey response here for Chris Simon meaning a fight.

You look at this game and see the firepower to score on one side and then the struggling Islanders on the other side. Why would Pittsburgh be interested in a low scoring game, even if it means taking some chances to score early against a club that usually needs half a game or longer to score?

That written all the games have been the usual 3-2 game. My guess is Nolan treats last game like a win and has no lineup changes, Comeau looked very good.

My guess is Comrie, Guerin and Fedotenko start scoring or Ted Nolan may just put one of them in the stands and back up his recent comments. They are not producing for a third line much less a first line.

Does anyone else think Satan's powerplay shot is exactly what they need down low and not from the point as Richard Park takes his wrist shot that is not fooling many goaltenders unless there is a screen? Satan looks very tenative on the point but down low his skilled passing and shot are critical.
