For those interested I made a quick call and appeared on Islesnation.com Monday night where Tony and Steve have an excellent show here where we talked about the road trip which always expands into a few other topics.
The flu is starting to take over my voice, great show as always Tony and Steve if I did not say it on the telecast.
Islesnation.com is also featured on NYIFan Central in the sidebar for those interested in their weekly show if you cannot catch them live, along with Hockey night on LI.
According to Cory Witt's media blog the team did not get home from Ottawa until Monday afternoon so I'm not expecting a Brendan Witt update if he stayed with them and obviously no skate was held. From what I understand even with the MRI he is day to day.
All I can write about the Habs game is they have been off since the Rangers beat them Saturday and waiting here for this game. You can bet the Canadians will be working hard after a poor effort at Msg. Combine that what always seems like problems for NHL clubs after long road trips and it's going to be a tough game for the Isles, especially without Martink and Witt. It's fair to ask will Hunter be ok for this game also so check Mr Fornabaio's Ct Post blog and see if another recall was made.
Devils also will have a few days rest and will be hungry to break that 0-4 against the Isles Wednesday in Newark so it does not get any easier.
Pregame will be up Tuesday afternoon, Islanders play on Versus tomorrow night, not Fsn or Fsn-2.
