As the article speculates it puts an end to Mike Sillinger being traded unless a team wants to take a chance on him being healthy for next season because he is signed.

The question here is you look at Sillinger's age and you have to wonder is he able to return from this and be productive?

It's also fair to write he did not have a productive statistical season overall.
