Richard Zednik ok after throat cut by skate

New York Islander Fan Central | 2/11/2008 12:25:00 AM
NHL.com: Brian Compton reports on a very scary incident involving former Islander Richard Zednik as his throat was cut open by a skate blade Sunday night to where he had to have emergency surgery but is ok.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Will not post video. I remember folks fainting after the throat of Sabres goalie Clint Malarchuk in a similar scenario was cut a long time ago, ironically also in a game involving Buffalo. Malarchuk story is the worst I have ever read in all my years as a fan at any on ice hockey game.

Just glad Zednik is apparently ok.
