Newsday: John Jeansonne covered practice with comments from Ted Nolan on all the players with Bridgeport who will be called up for Thursday's game and Blake Comeau who has been with the Isles for close to fifty games.

NY Post: Mark Hale had five very short paragraphs burried at the back of the Post as tonight's Islander game preview with no quotes. The Daily News had absolutely nothing.

NY Sun: Kevin Greenstein has the NHL power rankings where he puts the Islanders record on the defense, despite the fact the shots are down against the goaltenders from a year ago.
