AHL.com: Reports the Sound Tigers lost 6-3 to the Hershey Bears Saturday night in a devastating blow to their playoff hopes. Jeff Tambellini had two goals, Kyle Okposo also scored. Joey MacDonald was in net.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
I added the Sound Tigers free audio link to the top of the blog for anyone who wishes to listen to the live game webcasts. Tomorrow Bridgeport plays Philadelphia. The B2 link for PPV games is in the Sound Tigers section of this blog but it's six dollars to watch a game on your computer.

Devastating loss and likely one that clinches Bridgeport's season ending a week from Sunday. They no longer control their destiny as they drop from three points out of contention to five out of contention with Binghampton ahead of them also. Sound Tigers have a game in hand but no more head to head contests with Hershey or Binghampton.

I listended to part of this game, MacDonald gave up what seemed like a soft goal to Jason Morgan to tie the game early in the third for Hershey, the same player scored again and Bridgeport simply could not get a goal and did not seem to generate a lot of pressure. Hershey scored twice with MacDonald pulled who stopped a breakaway in the third.

Ct Post: Michael Fornabaio had several blogs Saturday. Frans Nielsen did not play with his injury, Kip Brennan did not play for unspecified reasons but will join the Sound Tigers when they return to Bridgeport. Trevor Smith was called home for personal reasons.
