Injury Updates/Thompson Out, Fritz sent down

New York Islander Fan Central | 11/07/2008 06:14:00 PM | |
Newsday: Greg Logan in the Islanders Newsday blog had a practice report that Mitch Fritz was returned to Bridgeport and that Nate Thompson sustained an injury and will be out for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh.

Also reported Bergenheim practiced and should play Saturday. Josh Bailey and Mike Sillinger skated as well as Radek Martinek.

Someone will be recalled for Fritz on Saturday or sooner.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
No point speculating, Bridgeport does not have a Friday game this week.

Would be great to see Mike Sillinger (or anyone injured) return and play some hockey games.
