Newsday: John Jeansonne had Tuesday's Flyer preview which included the coach on Radek Martinek, Josh Bailey and Mike Comrie as the Islander defender talks about his injury while the coach discusses what's different about a day-game routine and why Mike Comrie has been struggling to a degree.

Ct Post: Michael Fornabaio has a full feature on Tyler Haskins that include head coach Jack Capuano's comments along with the Sound Tigers weekly here on several subjects which include Mitch Fritz on his Islanders experience, team President Howard Saffan on the school game and what he says is a substantial increase in group sales including five questions with Pascal Morency.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
I'm going to have to add things as I can with the Canadian coverage from Summerside and the other venue for the two games. I'm not sure what Ct Post/Mr Fornabaio will do if anything. Obviously it gets interesting now if the Islanders or Sound Tigers need another player.

Point Blank: Mr Botta has the first comments from Islander goaltender Rick DiPietro about his injury.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Impossible to complain about DiPietro, no one wants to win more than he does and I cannot fault him more than anyone else who does all they can to help their club just like Guerin, Comrie, Satan and whoever else played hurt last season.

For now DiPietro just has to get himself completely healthy and put himself in the best possible situtation to stay healthy when he is finally ready.

Notable:
Mr Botta and I exchanged e-mails about not including his blog coverage here recently or linking to his exclusives in the news updates for those wondering why I have not linked to his work directly for a while?

I was not sure if it was fair to Mr Botta posting his exclusive independant information here which is different from when he worked for the Islanders so I did stop linking to his work here directly.

As always Mr Botta was nothing but first class as I'm trying to hit on the right format for presenting his information here. I feel my blog readers should be visiting his outstanding site directly as opposed to coming here to reference his work in a daily news digest.

It goes without saying Mr Botta works very hard to bring us stand alone features and exclusives that are outstanding along with countless other efforts that as always have gone above and beyond for our fans.

I have asked Mr Botta for suggestions and advice for the best possible presention of Point Blank here for everyone. For now I will go with somewhat of a modified format.
