Newsday: John Jeansonne has head coach Scott Gordon's comments about the big picture and that despite the record the club is having a good time and are progressing with the details. Gordon also talked about combining his young players even more with Comrie, Thompson out.

Radek Martinek again could return against Ottawa.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Scott Gordon has a few good points, but Richard Park and Andy Hilbert are not going to score enough to help these young players. If he wants to pair Okposo and Bailey, that's worth lookng at.

National Post: Ken Warren has comments from Senators gm Bryan Murray critical of his star players while the Sporting News here reports on Jarkko Ruutu's suspension, Ryan Shannon's recall and line juggling for the slumping Senators going into Thursday's game against New York.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
I wonder how long before Garth Snow shows a little temper he was known for as a player? He cannot be thrilled with some players performance despite injuries.

Ottawa Citizen: James Gordon reports Alex Auld will be in goal against the Islanders on Thursday.

Sporting News/Countless sources: Cofirm Brian Burke has stepped down as general manager of the Anaheim Ducks Tuesday with his comments. Bob Murray, who has spent the past three seasons in the Ducks' front office is the new general manager.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
It's it too early to listen to the cheering from Kevin Lowe or the writers in Toronto who have been expecting Burke to replace the longest running interim gm ever in Cliff Fletcher?
