Campoli injury, Jack Hillen recalled

Newsday: Greg Logan in the Islanders Newsday blog reports Chris Campoli suffered a groin strain and listed as day to day.

Jack Hillen was called up to take his spot and comments on playing in Bridgeport.

Head coach Scott Gordon comments he selected Hillen because he is an offense defender like Campoli as the head coach went to Bridgeport to watch the Sound Tigers play this afternoon.

Note-Peter Mannino was returned to Bridgeport and started in goal for the Sound Tigers with Len DiCostanzo released from his PTO.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Could be a one day trip to Bridgeport for Mannino or Garth Snow found another goaltender.
