Newsday: Greg Logan reports the Islanders passed on selecting Edmonton goaltender Dany Sabourin on waivers, reports an NHL source says MacDonald is progressing faster than expected and Danis has a .929 save percentage since he has gotten a chance to play on a regular basis.

Point Blank: Mr Botta among several subjects reports the Islanders will likely keep the same lineup tonight with McLean, Hillen, Mannino and has a few words on Joey MacDonald.

USA Today: Kevin Allen in his blog reports on the goaltending situation for team USA next year at the Olympics and that DiPietro's absence this year gives Team USA officials only about an eight week window next season to decide if he can play.
