NYI Fan Central Comments:

Brendan Shanahan is not expected to play tonight against the Islanders, Kevin Weekes starting against Columbus Friday should mean Scott Clemmensen will be in goal.

Given Mr Jeansonne's article Dibielewicz will not start.

Bergenheim or Sim?

At this point given the standings does anything matter but working as hard as they have recently in both ends of the ice, finishing some plays and staying healthy?

You play hard and continue to develop a team concept. I have been impressed with the work ethic and sooner or later it will pay off with some goals.

Devils as usual are simply a team better than the sum of it's parts that do not get nearly the credit they deserve but this is not the trapping team of the past. Brent Sutter's club can play any kind of game you want whether it be low scoring or a shootout.

They were not great against Columbus from what little I watched.

Their record and success do not lie and Parise when the game is on the line he usually does something to win the game for his club. Elias is finally getting back to the player he was before his hepatitis.

Somewhat surprising this is the Devils first trip to the Coliseum given they have played 2/3 home games against the rest of the division already.

Not sure on a post-game tonight at this time but will have something by the morning.
