Newsday: Greg Logan had the Islanders Insider which was his own state of the team from owner to prospects by position with lot's of speculation on trades and how the players have performed along with what could be ahead this summer with the draft if the standings hold and the Islanders select in one of the top two spots if they finish 30th.

Head coach Scott Gordon was the only quote in the last paragraph.

NYI Fan Central Comments:

Straight-forward and a solid review of the players in detail but aside from talking about every number possible Mr Logan did not bring up man games lost to injury which is the biggest number to define this season.

That should not have been left out.

What stood out beyond that was his speculation on whether Bailey would have been better off in juniors given his one goal in thirty odd games and that he introduced Columbus Marc Methot into the mix for a possible trade.

  1. Marc Methot, as far as I can tell, is a 3rd pairing d-man. Is that the best we can do for Doug Weight? If so, then lets keep him. We need at least a top 4 d-man to go with Streit. This proposed trade is unacceptable.

  2. To be fair to Mr Logan he made no proposal but introduced the name of this player.
