Waiver Update: Sim, Satan Included

Took waivers off the other entry and created a fresh one, teams are trying to clear space for trades. Snow controls the first claim if there is someone he wants or in this case wants to move.

Newsday: Mr Logan reports Jon Sim has been placed on NHL waivers Tuesday which Mr Botta also reported earlier here.

Mr Logan also adds:
Scott Gordon offered a terse answer on if he has spoken with Sim as he did Bergenheim, saying they met at the start of the season and he would keep the conversation private and even though one might read the move as symptomatic of an attempt to purge the locker room of unhappy veterans. Fans just have to hope the club still is making decisions based on hockey reasons and not personality conflicts.

NYI Fan Central Comments:

Or it's simply possible Scott Gordon's response is a personality conflict with Greg Logan who is making every move into a public problem between player/coach and is getting a little tired of being asked about it?

Gordon was upset recently with the media asking him about blown leads, cannot put that on the player-coach relationship.

Tsn.ca: Bob McKenzie reports Sean Avery was claimed on re-entry waivers by the Rangers.

Let the Cablevision/Newsday spin-doctoring begin based on what John Tortorella said, which I suspect will not get the play Gordon-Guerin got.

I wanted the Islanders to take a chance, looks like a lot of team are betting against him, hard to blame them.

Good luck to Avery.

Tsn.ca: Reports Miroslav Satan, Brendan Morrison Gary Roberts, Martin Gerber, Brenden Bell, Aaron Voros, Erik Reitz, Eric Perrin, Craig Adams have also been placed on waivers.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
For those who recall Snow was interested in Perrin a few years ago, Satan's been scoring a little lately but I guess the Pens have had enough or want to save space for someone better.
