Live Blogging: New York 3, New Jersey 2 OT

New York Islander Fan Central | 10/03/2008 07:26:00 PM |

A little unscheduled live blogging for anyone wishing to join in as I get in some game shape blogging during a game. (if there is such a thing?)

Call it underspeed.
Hilbert and McLean have New York goals, Trevor Smith two assist, Colliton assist.

Chris Lee had the game winning goal in overtime off a pass from Bergenheim with a thrid assist to Bruno Gervais.

Islanders badly outplayed and outshot in third against mostly full Devils team short Brodeur, Danis played well and held the Islanders in.

This will not be a forumla for wins that will work long-term or please Scott Gordon but they did hang in with half a roster against essentially a full roster.

Late second period penalties took whatever momentum Isles built and never really got going in third. Isles took the worst of the hits also in this one with Fritz looking to fight. Comrie took on Gionta. Witt got rocked by a Devil in the first.

Islanders website, Mr Logan, Mr Fornabaio providing game reports. Bridgeport lost big against Hartford in North Brandford (not Norfolk) for those scoring at home.

Articles tomorrow:
Games tomorrow:
New York at Boston 4pm (no live blogging)
