How Come No Recognition For Doug Weight?

New York Islander Fan Central | 11/16/2008 06:02:00 PM
It's kind of funny all summer I kept reading Doug Weight was finished and a terrible signing by the Islanders who only was here because supposedly no one else would play here after he had twenty five points for the Blues/Ducks last season.

Meanwhile all I kept reading was Bobby Holik who is even older than Weight would help the Devils.

Doug Weight has fifteen points in seventeen games here with seven powerplay points and no one has written a word about him unless it was on about his clean check of Brandon Sutter?

Newsday has quoted him a lot, how come they do not recognize he is doing a great job filling the role Garth Snow signed him for over the summer?
