Nothing's easy for a team with limited offense. Duclair's getting some offense. Heineman is in hibernation with Holmstrom, and Shabanov is on the bench, while the country club members do not sit, and run the team. #29-53-44 as they win ugly even against the worst teams in the NHL that would be wins with any kind of sustainable offense. After Vancouver which was a four goal game, the number is 11/16 games with two goals or fewer. 48-3-6 can play defense. 77 set up Vancouver's first goal who passed in the slot to Mayfield, he got it back himself + an assist but this is not defense. This forward group is also not winning with smothering defense that shuts down teams. Tsyplakov is not getting a fair chance for his six minutes, but he can't have turnovers like that on Vancouver's second goal.
What's next is they go play the struggling-again Kraken who are losing but scoring as Lane Lambert's team has hit the wall in their last five after returning home.
#NYC #NYI #isles After Wednesday New York has eight games before the break four at the failed Belmont experiment. Road games are east coast trips. Flyers, Knicks, Caps, Devils.

#NYC #NYI #isles When break ends New York will have four games until the trade deadline which hits when NYI are in Los Angeles.

All season long I have written to get Adam Beckman/others from Bridgeport in here and see if they can give this team some bottom six offense. Foudy has NHL experience, Gauthier keeps getting contracts between injuries, and used to be able to skate. They can't do worse then the players here.
#NYC #NYI #isles For New York to make the playoffs get the third seed. Wild card seeds much tougher. Beat out all but one of Caps, Pens, Flyers, Devils, Jackets & Knicks hockey. Right now they have five point edge on Caps/Flyers. That's where playoff spot is.
