Ken Campbell must be very upset at the New York Islanders.
First he takes an uncalled dig at them in the hockey news a few days ago here and writes let teams like the Islanders hire inexperienced general managers that's not for high-stakes Toronto, now he does an article on the Islanders win against Ottawa here while claiming the Islanders sat back in the third period and did not even try to create any offense despite former goaltender Glenn Healey crediting the Isles for their play. Campbell also blames the teams style of play for the low attendance.
NYI Fan Central Comments:
If Ken Campbell watched the third period he saw Ottawa tie the game 1-1 early in the period before the Islanders took the lead again a few minutes later. Islanders had chances after that and were shorthanded when Sutton puck the puck in the stands.
What did the Islanders do to Ken Campbell to have him cheapshot them like this within a few days or was he personally offended the Islanders beat the Senators?
Late in that game both teams were trading chances to a point I was wondering why are the defenders jumping in so the Senators could counter with an odd-man rush with a one goal lead?
Healy is usually critical of the Islanders and even he praised their efforts.
