Logan blog update on Simon:

Newsday: Greg Logan blogged Sunday night and ripped Chris Simon for his selfish action against Pittsburgh with Brendan Witt's comments about the play. Mr Logan questioned why he would repay Ted Nolan's loyalty for bringing him back by embarrassing his coach and the Islander organization.

“You don’t get any momentum going when you’ve got to kill a five-minute penalty,” Witt said. “That hurt.”

Pittsburgh Post Gazette: Dave Molinary reports the league office has not revealed when Simon will have a hearing.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Mr Logan did not even bother reporting Blake Comeau was recalled. Time for more comp vacation days for the Islanders only full time beat writer while coverage by committee becomes the rule again.

Funny but Steve Zipay is almost never off and outblogs Greg Logan four to one most game days if a beat writer is required to blog at all.

Monday Islander coverage? Nope, just a blurb in the sports briefs on Simon from Greg Logan, not even in the on-line edition.

Katie Strang went to Msg with Zipay to get Gretzky's story. We will have to learn the breaking news from the Islanders directly or the shock jocks in the Canadian media.

I have no interest in posting an article on Chris Simon in a publication like Maxim that likely held onto it like SI waiting for a problem to release it.

For all the folks who wish to read it I'm sure there are other sites that can do that for you. This will not be one of them.

Espn.com: E.J Hradek gives his thought's on how long Chris should be suspended.
