Islanders website: Adam Baruch, Chris Botta and Jason Lockhart compile the preview against the Carolina Hurricanes where the question is asked does Wade Dubielewicz start tonight?
NYI Fan Central Comments:
Outside of the Daily News comment by DiPietro that he tweaked something which looked like his leg or knee in the second period there has been no blog from Bridgeport or Newsday about a possible call up. This is a game I think was just setup for the Isles to give DiPietro a rest and Dubie getting two games in Bridgeport to play a team he beat in Carolina which is a pattern we used to see with Garth Snow always starting in Philadelphia.
Or DiPietro starts as usual. No word on Campoli or possible changes on defense.
Greg Logan usually blogs around 5pm if he traveled to Carolina.
Islanders have more pressing problems which begin with how the Hurricanes played in the third period where they got several quality chances and outworked the Isles and I'm not talking about the goals but the energy they got from them which could carry over into the start of the game tonight.
An interesting sidebar reported yesterday was John Grahame who was put on waivers and sent to the minors after being pulled against the Isles was recalled to Carolina yesterday. Even though the Canes had the weekend off this could be a game Peter Laviolette slated him to start but the Canes are off Wednesday.
My guess is Cam Ward keeps playing with his club on a winning streak.
Will the same officiating crew that called no penalties yesterday be making the trip or will the same two teams play a penalty filled game beginning in the first period tonight?

Chris King and Steve Mears report on ITV Wade Dubielewicz starts tonight and this has been the plan all along. DiPietro was on the ice at practice and will be the backup and start in Boston on Thursday.
