Islanders website: Has a preview for tonight's game against New Jersey at the Nassau Coliseum.
Newsday: Greg Logan's blog reports Josh Bailey sustained an injury in Moncton during camp and will not play, Kurtis McLean was recalled while Scott Gordon comments on Bailey's chances of making the club while he gives out some updates who who will play with four games coming up.
NYI Fan Central Comments:
I would think if Bailey was hurt the club would not let him play any preseason games so this had to happen after the Flyer game in London but unless this team is desperate to have him make the club at all cost he likely has to head back to Windsor at some point but I'm guessing at how long he could be out like everyone.
This is Jeremy Colliton's chance to step up and he needs to make a big impression, all Islander fans should be rooting hard for this player drafted in 2003 to make this team after all that has been invested in him.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Kind of feels like we are back at the end of last season with the club trying to have enough healthy bodies to play. That's not how you prepare for a season or fine-tune anything but survive another day. Just makes things tougher for Scott Gordon as he tries to introduce his systems and concepts.
Also begs a fair question does it force Garth Snow into a trade at some point?
Ct Post: Mr Fornabaio in his blog has the group of players who traveled to Albany for tonight's preseason opener for Bridgeport.
Devils website: Is advertising streaming audio of the Islanders home game, not the teams new radio network.
Msg+ is showing the Devils season preview with no live telecast afterward while the Dolan's spam the house team from Europe.
University of ND: Jayson Hajdu, UND Athletic Media Relations reports Islander prospect Jason Gregoire was voted the league’s preseason co-rookie of the year.
Gazette On Line of Eastern Iowa: Mike Hlas has comments from Islanders captain Bill Guerin on the passing of actor Paul Newman and wonders if he or his family knew how popluar he was with hockey players because of the clut movie Slapshot he starred in?
