Newsday: Mr Logan had the Friday Islander Insider with general manager Garth Snow's comments on a wide array of topics.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Mr Logan does an excellent job here on the questions and left nothing off the table as Garth Snow also did very well talking about the working relationship with his first coaching hire back to his interview, how the season has gone along with a full breakdown of the veterans/young players along with Rick DiPietro's injury status from the summer with what's ahead as the veterans were discussed along with Josh Bailey.

This was far different than what we used to get from Mike Milbury where he would challenge some players in the press and even the last few years where you could see a little frustration with the gm. Snow pulled no punches but had a very measured response which is also reflected in the patience this management seems to conduct themselves with. I agreed with almost all of what Snow said about his team and the coach.

Only thing that made me do a bit of a double-take was when he said he communicated with Scott Gordon daily which he also said about Ted Nolan in April.

We'll see what happens moving forward because like all teams some things will work while others will not. There is a lot of competition for jobs here which means the only constant will be change.

Newsday: Mr Logan in the Islanders Newsday blog also had more from the general manager beyond the Insider where he spoke about how veterans are starting to teach the players Scott Gordon's system along with the physical play of his roster.
