Pock Speculation (TSN Five games) Sens Recall

New York Islander Fan Central | 11/14/2008 03:40:00 PM | | |
My guess is the league will go light on Thomas Pock and either not suspended him at all or make sure he is out for the rematch on Saturday unless Colin Campbell given Ruutu is also suspended for Saturday wants to go with the two game trend.

Or Colin Campbell could set just continue setting league records for suspending Islanders.

Good trivia question today for everyone. Who was the last Islander suspended before Chris Simon and were not including Sean Hill here.

An actual Islander player who was suspended for an illegal play?

Updated 4:00pm:
Tsn.ca/Canadian Press Reports from their sources Thomas Pock was given a five-game suspension for his elbow to the head of Ottawa Senators' winger Ryan Shannon last night.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Obviously Colin Campbell's working relationship with the New York Islanders is about as poor as the disparity of Islander powerplays to penalties over the years.

This is the same man who in 2002 felt Gary Roberts charging in from center ice and slamming Kenny Jonsson's head with his hands into the boards for a five minute penalty was not a suspension or Corson's kick was only good for one game?

With Pock out the script suggests Radek Martinek returns which could have happen anyway or Jack Hillen comes back.

Bridgeport files to the West Coast this weekend so no one is a ferry ride away with Mr Fornabaio in the Ct Post having the practice report here that all seven defenders skated with line combinations.

Ottawa Sun: Bruce Garrioch reported the Senators have called up forward Ilja Zubov from their AHL affiliate in Binghamton for Ryan Shannon who is out indefinitely with a concussion. Alex Auld will again start Saturday along with general manager Bryan Murray who is not pleased with his players.
