AP: Recaps the Islanders 1-0 loss in Nashville on Saturday with Sports Network here.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
What would you have me write folks? Simply not enough speed and skill here to score consistently at even strength.

Good thing Nashville is not a very good team and slumping themselves or it could have been a lot worse. One powerplay generated and Doug Weight joins the list of players out.

MacDonald did all he could again and had no chance on the goal, Meyer got caught in center, a good pass off the two on one.

A few chances by Sim, Bill Guerin pushed into Rinne who gave few rebounds. Callahan gave them nineteen minutes, at least Comeau got to play. Bailey took a big hit.

I may have more to add Sunday to this entry.

We'll see what happens Tuesday, back to back is usually the game they win, not tonight.

Competitive (playoff) part of the season is gone, fifty plus games of exhibition ahead.
