Colorado Avalanche.com: The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that Executive VP/General Manager Francois Giguere has been relieved from his duties. Effective immediately, Avalanche President and Alternate Governor Pierre Lacroix will oversee the franchise until a new management structure is announced.

Minnesota Wild: The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that Head Coach Jacques Lemaire, the only coach in franchise history, is stepping down. The announcement was made at a press conference at Xcel Energy Center.
