Most Jobs Decided For New York...

The preseason will continue, so will the roster cuts.

Simply put this teams payroll is close to 77 million dollars. Barring a trade involving a big salary departing, no one making money is coming here.

Lamoriello has 1-2 tough decisions but not many, the money spoke already in the contracts given, and what's ahead in RFA next summer.

Dal Colle got his one-way deal, Ho-Sang did not, massive difference in salary if Ho-Sang plays in AHL, he's not being handed a spot.

Tom Kuhnhackl was re-signed, he has his contract, Johnston is signed. If Ladd's healthy at some point, he's playing. Brassard is signed. Komarov has his three years. If Clutterbuck is healthy, he has his spot, and Fritz was considered an NHL player last time management called for him. All this likely sends Wahlstom to the AHL regardless to start.

Numbers don't lie.
27-13-7
18-29-12
28-10-47
17-53-15
32-14
16-11-26
Bellows, who many wanted on roster in the last pre-season.
They are not benching #55-24-6 for Dobson, and they have many defenders older with talent in Bridgeport, who have waited a long time. Dobson needs to play every game wherever he winds up, not play nine games occasionally.
Mayfield's contract/size/skill you keep. #55 is going nowhere, with his size/skill, leadership, and downside of age, injuries. Pulock is playing every game. 2-3-25-14 are set on the left side.
And Sbisa is sitting with his PTO at age 29.
So for the next week/ten days we watch as many are cut, if someone is injured? But the roster is mostly set.
