#Isles News: The New York Islanders have acquired defenseman Alexander Romanov from the Montreal Canadiens, along with Montreal's fourth-round pick (98th overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft, in exchange for the Islanders' first round pick (13th overall) in 2022. pic.twitter.com/G8PbUWRKw6

#NYI #isles So a second round pick in 2018 was moved for 13th overall in first round. Obviously he's only played a short time in NHL and is now 22. That's a play to win now move for a franchise with a small prospect pool.

#NYI #isles I don't know. Reaction was Montreal fans were not doing cartwheels at losing Romanov.
