Outplayed/outclassed by a bunch of Devils prospects for 55/60 minutes with most of the veterans in the lineup, who were outskated so much they did not draw a single powerplay the entire game. It was that bad, and the fourth game they were largely outplayed despite a minor league goalie handing them a win the previous night.
It's preseason does not cut it to be that outworked, despite the empty building, no atmosphere, no one wanted to be there, and it showed. Drouin looks like Mike York in 2005-06 who was done. Most of the forwards showed little. Devils flat out skated them the entire night with a team of prospects. Roy looked clueless. Sorokin did not face much but DeAngelo, Mayfield imploded, and Schaefer made big mistakes.
