NEWS: AEG Sports COO Kelly Cheeseman has left his position with the LA Kings to become the President of Business Operations and Alternate Governor for the New York Islanders.

NYIFC Comments: I want to sit with this for a while but simply put we saw this to a lesser degree with Kim Stone, who came with fanfare, and left in total silence. Granted Stone was not given the alt governor spot/president of business ops, and was not hired by NYI but Oakview. I do think a move before the season begins (as they signed a medical company as a sponsor on the team jersey, plus other new sponsors) reflects a business doing poorly, and scrambling on all fronts. Having written this Cheeseman was let go of this month by the Kings.
The LA Kings congratulate COO Kelly Cheeseman on being named President of the @NYIslanders and @UBSArena!
