Some struggles by Sorokin but they outshot Toronto huge, scored some goals early, and kept pushing for Peter Deboer's first win for New York. All games went New York's way in the race. Pageau got his garbage goal, then got picked behind the net for a goal for Toronto. Ritchie keeps scoring, Heineman got one. Schaefer shot it through Leafs goalie who faced 44 shots.
New York trails Flyers by one but control tie-breaker. Ottawa won and still trail them by three, they likely will be the 8th seed. It's going to take something special to beat the Senators Saturday. Both NY/Flyers play same teams (Montreal/Carolina) but NY plays Ottawa, while Flyers play Winnipeg.
