NHL.com: Has the live scoreboard and game sheet for tonight's game which will be available at 7pm.

Islanders website/AP: Has the preview for tonight's game against the Pittburgh Penguins with comments from Bill Guerin and Sidney Crosby.

Media Blog: Cory Witt has notes from the morning skate with some possible changes for Pittsburgh.

Islanders website: Has an article on Sean Bergeneheim where he is praised for his work by Ted Nolan.

What you like about his play is that he's a ball of energy," said head coach Ted Nolan, whose Islanders face-off against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at the Nassau Coliseum. "I even had a flash the other day when he was on the ice and he reminded me of a young Esa Tikkanen. Sean is a disturber on the ice, he skates and is not afraid. He hits anyone who has the puck, jams the net and has good hockey sense."

"The last two games I've felt much more comfortable," admitted Bergenheim. "I think I'm finding my level, it's just taken a while."

"This kid is the real deal, and he's only 20 year old," said Ted. "A number of games this year he was one of our best players on the ice. We have a pretty good young prospect in Bergenheim, who I think is going to get better and better."

Sound Tigers.com: Has tonight's pregame against the Binghampton Senators at Harbor Yard.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Not much to write about tonight's game. Dany Sabourin is a solid goaltender who has looked better than Marc Andre Fleury at times, but Pittsburgh's defense can give up a lot of goals as well as score them. Of course the Pens will want to play a wide open high scoring game and force the Islanders to keep up.

From the Islanders side it's not easy to get any points in games you need over twenty minutes before you score, the trend is they seem to play for a 0-0 game early as opposed to trading chances. Hopefully the goals by Guerin's line carries over to this game.

As for the feature on Bergenheim, and not to make it a big deal but Sean Bergenheim was drafted in 2002 and not a twenty year old kid. The coach said all the right things but his actions say otherwise when his minutes are cut in the third period with the game in the balance after playing well.

The holiday trade freeze is on the nineteenth.
