All star reserves will be announced at 12pm EST. All I'm going to write is if Bill Guerin is on pace for thirty and they have a slot based on past selections he may bump DiPietro or Witt.
Islanders website: Has the preview of tonight's game against the Calgary Flames.
NYI Fan Central Comments:
Calgary won six in a row before losing to Phoenix who kind of had an outburst similar to the Isles in Carolina which cost them the game. Mike Keenan has the Flames playing very well with Adrian Aucoin having a nice bounce back season after two years or injuries in Chicago. Kiprusoff is a world class franchise goaltender overall despite his struggles and Calgary got ripped into by Keenan for their last game so you can bet they will be under the same pressure the Islanders are under to start well.
Islanders tv report on Thursday had Satan sitting with the origional lines from the Colorado game all reunited. Aaron Johnson dressed in a fourth line spot while Blake Comeau played on the top line. No word on Radek Martinek.
Islanders have to hang in here and find a way to get points, they cannot expect DiPietro to hold them in every game to this degree and they are not going to get the gift goals Luongo allowed.
The seperation in the Atlantic division is starting to be a factor for the Isles too. Calgary, Ottawa or whoever Islanders have to win some games.
