Islanders website: Has the preview of tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Islanders play a team that has not won a game in regulation since early December but came within seven seconds of breaking that stretch on Saturday. The fast surface in Edmonton combined with the Islanders not playing good defense in front of DiPietro the last game cannot carry over into this game.

Islanders have no time to worry about Ryan Smyth, Ryan O'Marra, Denis Grebeshhov, or Robert Nilsson. They need two points from this game and start the night last in the division, despite the 5-1-2 record in eight games with a stretch of upcoming games that are very tough.

Raffi Torres is likely out for the season with an injury, Robert Nilsson was benched his last game. Edmonton is an outstanding shootout team which has carried them with a league high in wins in the skills competition.
