AP: Has the early recap of the Rangers 4-2 win against the Islanders Monday night.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Not much to write tonight, more tomorrow.

Islanders did not get the breaks or finish the ones they did, MacDonald's first goal against was not a good one and deflected off Guerin but he more than made up for it, hopefully he did not get injured himself when he got hit.

The pk gave them a good chance going into the third killing off the five on three.

Okppso finally finished one and again just showed signs he is a player with excellent potential who had some great shifts. The Ranger trap is most dangerous and waits for chances or powerplays and that's what they got when Bergenheim and Weight went off.

Just too much working against this team right now with all these defenders and the starting goaltender out but again I see a group of players looking good in this system creating chances and looking better collectively then they did for a good part of last year.

Some good signs, not enough to win a sixty minute game. The Islander powerplay has to give them more. The hitting, fights favored the home team and they did a good job again sticking up for one another.

I sure hope we see the full roster at some point because in the standings it is as bad as it can get.
