Star Phoenix: Should have coverage of Monday's announcement of the Islanders having camp in Saskatoon.

Newsday: Greg Logan has goaltender Yann Danis's comments as the Cap game is previewed while Mr Logan speculates on whether Dany Sabourin will be placed on waivers or Curtis Sanford will be made available in a trade given he cleared waivers for Vancouver.

Washington Post: Tarik El-Bashir reports in the Caps blog Alex Ovechkin, Alexander Semin, Nicklas Backstrom, Viktor Kozlov, Sergei Fedorov, Michael Nylander, Shaone Morrisonn and Brent Johnson didn't take part in Sunday's optional practice.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said Johnson is "feeling under the weather" and that Jose Theodore will start in net against the Islanders.

*Boyd Gordon (back spasms) will likely be back in the lineup against the Islanders, Boudreau said, adding that Gordon didn't play against the Bruins Saturday because the team had no need to rush him back.

*Meanwhile, neither Poti nor Morrisonn are making the trip to New York.

Washington Times: Cory Masisak previews the Islanders with more on the Washington injuries.

NYI Fan Central Comments:

Not much to write on this game. Caps come in off a win against Boston, they have defeated the Islanders this year at home but it was a competitive game. I would expect Scott Gordon plays Danis again with Mannino starting in Bridgeport Sunday but who knows?

We should get to see Jack Hillen play some hockey if Campoli does not play. With only one more game before an eight day break I expect anyone injured will stay out of the lineup.
