Obviously Lamporiello is not happy but made clear the coaches were under contract, now he discharged them or they wanted to go elsewhere. Hiller came here from Toronto, after he replaced Scott Gomez in Trotz second year. Gruden came here in the summer of 2018 from Hamilton so these are not Barry Trotz people. Clearly Lane Lambert is going to hire his own staff.
#NYI #isles Another odd move by Lamoriello who made clear assistants were under contract, Hiller came here from Toronto for 2019-20, Gruden from Hamilton. Obviously Lane Lambert wants to pick his own coaches or both wanted out of their contracts.

#NYI #isles Head coaches want to pick their own assistants, but like Doug Weight, Lane Lambert has no head coaching experience. But it's another bad day for Lamoriello to say coaches are under contract, and then fire them. He should have done that with Trotz.
