Newsday: Greg Logan had Ted Nolan's comments on what clinching a potential lottery pick that could land a top prospect could mean and on Jack Hillen who Bill Guerin praised for how he handled himself while, Hillen comments on how he tried to get the puck to players on the Isles powerplay.

Newsday: Mark Herrmann in his Ranger centric article on Jagr had Kyle Okposo's comments that he hurt the Isles on the powerplay. Bill Guerin lamented the loss and said his club must learn from it.

NY Times: Lynn Zinser's Ranger centric coverage had Bill Guerin praising his teammates as a good group of people here and it's not an easy time but they are showing up and playing hard.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
Of course the Post, News did not have one single article or quote from an Islander player as the bad news twins at the Post (Larry Brooks/John Dellapina) had on their Ranger pom poms. Even with the Devils playing Philadelphia tonight Mark Everson made sure to make the Rangers the topic for the Devil players. Peter Botte was not allowed to cover the game with one minimal Ranger article from John Dellapina burried among a mountain of baseball, Knick and NCAA coverage.

London Free Press: Ryan Pyette has Islander prospect Mark Katic's comments about Sarnia team mate Steve Stamkos who is expected to be the top selection in this years draft.

NYI Fan Central Comments:
It's tough not be critical of the veterans here because they cannot score but there are teams out of it in this league mailing in games with Toronto losing 8-2, other clubs losing 7-1. Isles have been in every game, if they finished some chances it would have been a different story.

Ct Post: Michael Fornabaio talks about all the players finally returning to Bridgeport after Friday's Islander game. Jack Capuano is not sure what lines he will have. Jeff Tambellini who was the leading scorer was not named to the AHL first or second team because of all his callups.

Bridgeport has seven games left and trails fourth-place Hershey by four points, with a game in hand.
