A Few Choice Words For Brian Compton:

New York Islander Fan Central | 11/04/2017 11:11:00 AM |
A few folks informed me Brian Compton's audio blog on Friday took some shots obviously at myself/this website.
"We played a little piece the audio at the top, which is really just to take a shot at somebody."
"No, no, no, no, no...............I'm ok."

"All I'm doing there, is because someone brought it up to me because I don't follow that clown."

"He's out to smear me, and anybody who covers this team."

"I don't make stuff up, you don't get to where I am in this business by making stuff up, even if I did make it up, Kimber or someone else from the Islanders would have told me in five seconds, hey where did you get that figure, take that down or change it, or whatever. It's been there for weeks, and the reason it's been there it's because, Jon Ledecky, says it, and you saw the proof at the top of the show."
Fact-Twin Rinks aka Northwell was purchased in a bankruptcy sale for about 8-9 million in 2015.

Ledecky said 60 million. Compton did not bother doing any research for a month or correct that so when the article came out saying they spent 3 million on renovations, I posted Compton's 60 million dollar earlier comment from Ledecky, and wrote he was clueless.
For those who visited this site around 7am on Sat, Nov 4th, I wrote an entry titled: An Open Apology to Brian Compton, shocked, thinking I had written he was a clown.

I wrote about three paragraphs with a personal apology, explaining there is no excuse for my writing something that inappropriate ever regardless whether we agree or disagree, what my site & twitter feed has always been about, apologizing to everyone.

And I decided to edit the tweet I wrote from a few days ago.

Funny thing happened doing that.
I never wrote he was a clown, simply that he was clueless.
So I wasted a few important minutes of my time trying to figure out what's going on here.

Now I have a few comments of my own.................

And we all know what Dan Boyle called NY Post, Brett Cyrgalis, upon his departure from Chase to cap his career.
 1. The history of Twin-Rinks, is common knowledge, with countless articles posted at this site from construction in 2013, to Ed Mangano's state of the county/success address there, through the Ferraro brothers bankruptcy, with professional media articles on how Charles Wang won the rights in bankruptcy court.

Charles Wang won the bid & it was not for 60 million dollars. Did Mr Compton, seriously need Kimber Auerbach or Mr Eisenberg from the Islanders to tell him it was eight-nine million? Was he really more interested in taking shots at me, why he did not bother correcting Mr Ledecky to what was widely reported by professional media during that entire month between Ledecky lunches?

Is that how he claims to have gotten wherever he thinks he is in his career? To report what was said, then not correct the record, isn't that what you want a writer to do?  Was it that awful of me to write he was "clueless" for failing to do this for our fans?

My archives from Cantiague, to the entire history of Twin-Rinks are an open book for everyone, full of professional media articles. I even found the company who constructed Twin-Rinks & renovated it for the NYI.
2. I'm out to smear Brian Compton, and anybody who covers this team.

Is that a joke. Who covers this team?
One full time writer who's received a paycheck from James (now Pat Dolan) since 2008 behind a paywall. I could go on for about a week but how am I smearing Staple or anyone by posting their own words, and poor effort for our fans covering our team simply to get their employer, James Dolan, the taxpayer arena in Nassau he lost in 2013 via more taxpayer money from Andrew Cuomo.

The other developer who bid less, wanted full tax exemption on Coliseum/Plaza, All Hub Rights? Newsday owner Dolan.
Between Staple, Zipay, Best, Baumbach, Brodsky, Marshall, Msg's Alan Hahn, I could go on for a week.
There I am smearing everyone, I took over their accounts and wrote those things.  Too bad those other amateur NYI bloggers care about their resume, and a meal, more than our team.
To the best of my knowledge Mr Compton blocked me about a year and a half ago, when after the 20th time or so calling our team Brooklyn, I reminded him (as Ledecky reminded everyone) that's not our teams name, and does not write the Devils are Newark or Senators, Kanata. He replied will write whatever he wants, and I again brought up the two former Ranger fans from Daily News, Frank Brown, John Dellapina, run NHL media, where Compton denied them controlling content or who they can hire/fire when our mutual blocks on twitter came from.

As for the other amateur fan blogger on his podcast, mind your business which is obviously you building a resume, not giving our fans the respect/honesty they deserve. Where were you to tell Compton, Wang won the bid for about nine million in 2015.
Mr Compton, you are clueless,  you did not respect our fans enough to report the true facts about Twin-Rinks/Northwell, and had a month to do your homework, and correct Ledecky.

Wang paid about 8-9 million to win bid in bankruptcy court, I guess about 3 million was spent to renovate it, not 60 million dollars.

As for your "clown" comment. That's beneath my standard, will leave that lack of professionalism at your door.
