Kind of deal announced on the floor during the draft unless Lamoriello is building toward a player trade. On paper we'll know if this works out (as is) if someone drops in the first round from the top tier.

Let's see him play in the NHL full time. We have seen this too many times where a player comes here from KHL, goes to Bridgeport, and returns to Europe without getting a look here. He's 25 so this player will not be on the prospect site.

Not much else to write for a while, expect another bad summer for the teams business which likely will be in hiding, as no one wants to go to the failed Belmont experiment, as the retail village will be hidden until it opens in September, and Belmont racetrack's grandstand will be gone likely by July. I expect some shots from Dolan's media now that our team got Dolan/Oakview an arena and we are a lame duck who served it's purpose in an area not built for an arena. Dolan got Msg II on the Queens border to replace Barclay's as our real home, he gave us some money for a few years to be their tenant. Oakview has no money of it's own. 86.25 million is the buyout money for NYI to relocate anywhere at any time.
New York will not have a third round pick, or a seventh in the draft. Beyond that the prospect site is working for 2024-25. I expect no changes besides Martin/Clutterbuck, and likely one of Aho/Bortuzzo/Reilly. My guess is Martin/Clutterbuck suffer the same fate as Josh Bailey, they likely will not be signed by any team.
I expect to be taking a break until the draft on 6/28/24.

Long Story Short/Everyone Returning or wants to be back

Lamoriello/Roy-All UFA, Wahlstrom said he just got his knee brace off six weeks ago. No one plans to retire. Aho said would love to be back but tough to say right now. Sorokin was not happy with his season. Mayfield fractured his ankle game one this season, will be ready for camp. Lamoriello said assistant coaches/Bridgeport for another day. Lamoriello expects Mitch Korn to return.

Too old at forward, too slow/soft on boards and in transition in both directions, that led to penalty kill/powerplay issues. They can talk about coming back, but there must be some changes.

Last year Lamoriello/Lambert did not speak, expect the same here. Only Scott Malkin knows what he's planning.
Only team knows if they qualify Wahlstrom, Holmstrom. On defense it's a choice of Aho, Bortuzzo, Reilly + Mayfield's recovery.
Robin Salo/Otto Koivula both face UFA group VI.
New York will draft 18th, they have no 3rd/7th round pick.
